Valentine’s Kisses

I’m a fan of kisses.  Baby kisses, puppy kisses.  Hubby kisses, movie kisses.  And, of course, chocolate kisses!

For Valentine’s Day, I thought we’d take a second to appreciate a few  favorites!

There is the cute kiss (yep, thats cute.)

The sentimental kiss (this is how my mother convinced me to eat spaghetti even though my brother told me they were worms – my love of romance started young)

kiss lady and the tramp

The sigh-worthy kiss (c’mon, who doesn’t sigh when he kisses her for the last time?!)

Kiss ghost

The one to beat kiss! (Has any movie kiss to date hit the heat level of this one?  Really?)

Kiss ultimate

The pure romance kiss (yes, I consider The Princess Bride to be pure romance.  I really do.)

Kiss pBride

The hot and sexy kiss (this is romance novel kissing, babeeee!)

The Woooot! kiss (I wooooted when Han kissed Leia.  Didn’t you?)

Kiss Han

Ahhh, the hand kiss.  Yes, it’s cheesy, but so sweet and romantic!!!

And, of course, the Chocolate Kiss!

And, if I may indulge myself… another of my favorite Chocolat kisses…(okay so it’s not the kiss scene, I liked this picture better *g*)

kiss roux

How about you? What’s your favorite kiss?  Movie, chocolate or otherwise 😉

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day. You guys are so cute, Tawny. I really love those kisses in the rain like the one in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the upside down one in Spiderman.

    • Tawny Weber says:

      Happy Valentine’s Day, Jane!!!

LOL cute indeed. You know, he still does that sometimes and I just melt.

Oh oh -the upside down kiss -that was so fab, so moody with all the rain and the angst. Ahh, Spidy. Gotta love him 😀

    • Jeanne Adams says:

Hey Jane! You’re true love is there for Valentines Day! Yay! Did you kiss the rooster? Grins.

I love, love love the upside down kiss in Spiderman. So sexy! :>

  • Helen says:

    Happy Valentines Day Tawny

I so love all of those kisses above they are the best 🙂
I do love chocolates kisses although I am not sure if we get them here in Oz but you have sent me some and they are yummy 🙂

    Have Fun

    • Tawny Weber says:

Hi Helen and Happy Valentine’s Day!!! I didn’t realize Hershey’s Kisses weren’t to be found in Australia – I’ll have to send more 😀

      They are so yummy!!!

  • Anna Sugden says:

Happy Valentine’s Day, Tawny ! And to my beloved Banditas and our fabulous BBs!

Don’t shoot me, but I don’t like the taste of Hershey’s Kisses. 🙁

Ooh love Chocolat – one of my favourite movies.

One of my favourite movie kisses is from a Brat Pack movie called Some Kind of Wonderful, where Watts is making sure her best bud will be a good enough kisser for his date with his dream chick, Amanda. Google the movie and kiss and you’ll see loads of clips of it. *sigh* So brilliantly done!

    • I love that scene, Anna – one of my favorite movies that doesn’t seem to make the rounds as frequently as it should!

    • Tawny Weber says:

Happy Valentine’s Day, Anna 😀 And big squishy hugs!

LOL on not liking H. Kisses – it’s funny, I love those but don’t like the taste of Hershey’s bars -and I’m pretty sure its the same recipe.

Chocolat… I love love love that movie. Johnny is so dreamy. Other stuff happens in the movie, too, but Johnny is so dreamy!!

Awww, that sounds like a Friends to Lovers story -those are always so fabulous!

      Off to google….

  • Donna Salzano says:

    Happy Valentines Day Tawny,
I’m a chocoholic so just about any chocolate will do
One of my favorite movie screen kisses is on the beach
Screen is Jeff Bridges and Rachel Ward in
    Against All Odds

  • Debbie Oxier says:

Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks at the end of You’ve Got Mail! One of my favorite movies!

  • Laurie G says:

Richard Gere & Julia Roberts kissing on the fire escape as Richard & Viviene in PRETTY WOMAN!

There’s also a nice kiss in MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER when Jim rescues Jessica from the side of the mountain and they kiss by the fire as they acknowledge their attraction to each other.

  • eli yanti says:

    Happy Valentine Day all 🙂

  • pjpuppymom says:

One of my favorite movie kisses is Drew Barrymore and Michael Vartan at the end of “Never Been Kissed.” :sigh:: Love that kiss.

I can’t buy Hershey’s Kisses. They constantly call my name and I’m helpless to refuse them. Hershey’s Cherry Kisses are my favorites.

Puppy kisses. They’re the best and I’m missing them this Valentine’s Day. Rachel is my snuggler but Cassy was my kisser. She loved to give “no reason, just because I love you” kisses that melted my heart. ♥

Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day! I’m still snowed (and iced) in so I’ll be spending the day with a snuggling dog and sexy, fictional heroes. And chocolate. Must have chocolate. 😉

    • Tawny Weber says:

Awww, PJ, puppy kisses are the best!!! Big hugs!!!

and Brrrrrr, stay warm this Valentine’s Day!! I hope it’s a great one, even if it is a making me shiver to think about 🙂

LOL on the Kisses hold over you – I totally understand 😉

    • Jeanne Adams says:

Awww, PJ, I so get that about Cassy! My kissy girl was my 130 lb Rottie mix. She could wrap that tongue practically around your head, and by golly she MEANT that kiss! Grins. SHe was very earnest about it. :>

My “new” Lab, Bella is quite the snuggle kisser though. Lovin’ that. :>

  • Love all those images of kisses, even the one where your hubby is on his knees, Tawny!

But my favorite kiss…the one where the man holds the woman’s head in both his hands and claims her with his kiss.

    • Tawny Weber says:

Yowza hot, Suz!!!! Love it 😀

and LOL on the hub on his knees *g* I’ve gotta say thats probably the last time I saw him in that position 😀

      Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • catslady says:

In a movie it’s Richard Gere as Lancelot kissing Lady Guinevere goodbye – curls my toes. In real life, I can still remember my first real kiss from my husband to be 🙂

    • Tawny Weber says:

Sigh… toe curling kisses. I forgot those 😀 They rock, for sure!!

Awww, I still remember mine, too. There is nothing sweeter!!!

      Happy Valentine’s Day 😉

  • Patty L. says:

Okay so this post has me daydreaming of all the romantic movie kisses I have ever seen and more importantly the romantic aww inspiring kisses I have read. But the most amazingly and sweetest kiss is the kiss of a child. You know the one that leaves slobber on your cheek but you would never wipe it away in fear of hurting their feelings. Romantic kisses lead to baby kisses. 🙂

  • Hershey Kisses !!!!! Okay, I’m call now!

I did get puppy dog kisses this morning so I started Valentine’s Day off right. Frodo the Horrible only gives kisses when the alarm goes off and I turn it off, turn on the light, pick up my book and snuggle in for a morning read. He knows then I am not going to work that day and my reward is him jumping in my lap, putting his feet on my shoulders and giving me kisses.

My big goofy dog Clyde (short for Clydesdale) meets me at the top of the hill when I get home from work to give me a big face washing kiss. He’s so handsome I can’t get onto him about it.

My favorite romantic film kiss? That’s easy ! The train station kiss at the end of North and South. Now THAT is a kiss!

Happy Valentine’s Day to the sweetest bunch of people I know – The Banditas and Buddies!

    • Tawny Weber says:

      LOL Louisa!!!

      Gotta love Kisses 😉

Oooh!!! Your Clyde sounds so fun! I love dogs big enough to give face-washing kisses 😀 I love that your puppy is named Frodo the Horrible LOL, so cute!!

I have NOT seen North and South but it sounds like I’m missing out 😀

      Happy Valentine’s Day!!

      • Jeanne Adams says:

        Louisa, you rock. Grins.

Tawny after finally hearing SO much about it from buddies and Banditas alike, I watched the whole of North and South via YouTube. Oh. My. Goodness.

Louisa’s right, that kiss, FINALLY, that kiss. Oh, yeah, baby.

  • Such sweet movie remembrances. Loved them all. Adding the kisses from Romancing the Stone – (on the dance floor at the festival – he dips her and when she comes up they kiss – love it) and While You Were Sleeping. Isn’t there a killer kiss in North and South with cotten drifting all around? Hard to remember…

    Great topic, Tawny!

    • Tawny Weber says:

HI Donna and Happy Valentine’s Day 😉

Oooh, yes!! Romancing the Stone is so fab- great kiss!!! And yet another vote for North and South. I am definitely going to have to check out this kissing 😀

  • Hellion says:

    Favorite Kisses:

1.) Pirate OTC: At World’s End, when Will and Elizabeth get married “you may kiss the bride”–love, love, love. Everyone should have that soundtrack playing in the background when they’re getting their socks kissed off.

2.) North & South (BBC)–that train kiss, which if I know this crowd has been mentioned a dozen times already.

3.) Crazy Stupid Love–when She comes into the bar, soaking wet, kisses him, and says, “Remember me?” *LOL*

    • Tawny Weber says:

Ooooh!!!! Yes yes yes, the Will and Elizabeth kisses are so fab. My fave is the last one though. He’s so damned sexy LOL

I CLEARLY must see North and South!

LOL at the Crazy Stupid Love kiss-so fun!!

      Happy Valentine’s Day 😀

  • Jo Robertson says:

You’re such a card, Tawny! Delightful! My hair dresser and I were just talking the other day about our first kisses.

I think the first kiss is one of the sweetest there are and it never comes more than once!

    • Jeanne Adams says:

Jo, that’s so true, and I remember my first kiss like it was yesterday. :>

    • Tawny Weber says:

Awww, first kisses are so awesome. I love those!! My very first kiss was with the preacher’s grandson in the shed in the backyard. We closed our eyes, counted to six ( clue why) and smooshed our lips together 😀

      It still makes me giggle.

      Happy Valentine’s Day, Jo 😉

  • For any Gilmore Girls fans, I just watched the episode on TV the other day where Lane says her first time on her Honeymoon was re-enacting the scene from From Here to Eternity and how awful it was. Scratchy sand, hermit crabs… but it LOOKS romantic!

I absoltely adore The Princess Bride and just remembered I found it recently for cheap in a bargain bin DVD at Target. I”m watching that tonight!

    • Jeanne Adams says:

Stephanie, I’m LOL abt the recreation of the From Here to Eternity kiss. Have to confess that even while watching the movie, part of my brain is thinking, “Oh, the sand is gonna get in some terrible places….” Snork!!

LOVE the Princess Bride. Love, love, love. “Farm boy, fetch me that pitcher…” “As you wish….”

    • Tawny Weber says:

      LOL Stephanie!

I’m not going to say why, exactly, but I can greatly sympathize with Lane 😀 And I love the Gilmore Girls. Over the holidays we watched Bad Santa with friends and all I could do was shout, Lorelei, No!! at the screen *g*

I adore the Princess Bride!!! I might have to watch it this weekend -after Gremlins, since that’s what my daughter got for Valentine’s Day LOL

Hope you had a fab Valentine’s Day!!

  • Jeanne Adams says:

Hey Tawny! Totally fun post!! Love all the pictures! Wheeee! And of course, the best for last, The Depp. Grins.

There’s a kis sin Top Gun where Maverick and the Kelly McGillis character are about to get it on…silhouetted…gorgeous. Sigh. Not too long after the Volleyball game….yumbo!

There’s a kiss in Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt, where they make love, and the kiss is so tender and so exquisite…love that one.

And speaking of Brad Pitt, there’s a smokin’ hot kiss in Mr. and Mrs. Smith where you can see that Angelina and Brad have a WHOLE lot going on between them besides a movie. Grins. RIght after the fight scene….oh yeah. Love that one.

And of course, all the others people have named. You really MUST see North and South. If nothing else, YouTube North and South Train Scene and you’ll get to see that famous kiss. Grins.

    • Tawny Weber says:

Mmmm, The Depp 😀 He’s so yummy!!!

Jeanne, those are great kisses 😀 Another one I just thought of today was the first kiss (fake and real) between Castle and Beckett!!! Yowza, hot.

Okay, YouTube is my friend. I’m gonna have to find me some trains 😉

      Valentine’s Day hugs!!!

  • Amy Conley says:

Hands down best kisses ever are those from my grandbabies, and they range in age from 12 to 2 1/2.

  • Tawny, Happy Valentine’s Day to you, too! Around here, it’s a great day for everyone because enough snow melted to let people drive (cautiously) to a variety of places. There was a general “Woo-hoo! Sunshine!” vibe in the air when the dh and I visited the bookstore.

I didn’t drive, mind you. I let Front Range Guy do that, seeing as how he got so much experience growing up in the Rockies.

What a great collection of famous kisses you’ve compiled. It’s hard to top those, but I’ll say I rather liked Brody and Genna’s first kiss from A Seal’s Salvation. And the second one was right up there, too!

    • Tawny Weber says:

Nancy, I can’t imagine a better place to visit on Valentine’s Day than a bookstore. Actually I can’t imagine a better place to visit on any day LOL. I’m glad the sunshine is visiting and that you’re able to get out and about!!

And, wow, thank you 😀 That is such a lovely thing to say 😀 I really, really appreciate it!!

      Happy Valentine’s Day hugs!

  • Mozette says:

oooooh… kisses… yeah, we’re all fans of them.

They can be wonderful, sweet, brief, or just downright cold.

But a kiss is something of an interesting thing… and like you said you can woot reallly loud when somebody finally gets it right!

The kinda kiss I love is when you’re kissing and you end up running into furniture because you and your beloved are so into your emotions… then you run into the fridge, lounge, hatstand, hall table… well anything that’s on the way to the bedroom – if you make it! 😛

When you see that kinda kiss in a film it’s funny as hell. 😀
