Hey everyone, we have one of my favorite guests back in the Lair today, Jo Davis! For those of you who’ve read Jo’s Station Five Firefighter series, you’ll remember they’re set in the fictional town of Sugarland, Tennessee. Well, Jo is taking us back there with a new series, Sugarland Blue, about the heroic police officers in town.
Welcome, Jo. You know the drill. Pull up a bar stool, order your favorite drink from Sven, (He’s the hunky blond hanging out behind the bar, wiping up the drool off Paolo’s face…rumor has it Paolo’s read ALL your books!), and we’ll have a lovely chat about these hot new books.
Jo: Hey there, my friend! It’s so great to be back at the Lair! Mmm, Sven, I’ll have something fruity with rum and an umbrella in it, pretty please! Paolo, you naughty young man, take a seat and relax. Closer to me. That’s better, handsome.
Suz: What made you switch over to the police department of Sugarland?
Jo: From the start of the Firefighters of Station Five series, it’s been my desire to switch to the police department and tell Detective Shane Ford’s story, along with some of the other officers. My readers have been waiting, too. There was an initial delay in this happening in part because I was busy writing my Alpha Pack series as J.D. Tyler. My publisher eventually got behind the Sugarland Blue series and now I’m thrilled that it’s finally kicking off!
Suz: ARMED AND DANGEROUS, the first story in this series, is a novella. Do you think it’s a good way to bring your fans into the series?
Jo: I think a novella is a perfect start! I made sure the novella re-introduces Detective Shane Ford and Juvenile Officer Daisy Callahan, both of whom are in the Firefighter series. Shane plays a big part in some of those books. In ARMED, Shane and Daisy get a stand-alone case to solve, and their attraction ignites. Their big book, SWORN TO PROTECT, features a different case and some major family trauma for them to overcome.
Suz: Your readers might remember Shane Ford from Line Of Fire and Ride The Fire, what’s he gotten mixed up in this time?
Jo: In ARMED AND DANGEROUS, the novella, Shane has a series of murders to solve and goes undercover with Daisy to find the killer. Their attraction ignites, but all is not well for the couple. They haven’t yet gone through their bonding to become a real couple, so that story is yet to tell in SWORN TO PROTECT.
Here’s the blurb for SWORN TO PROTECT:

Detective Shane Ford, Sugarland’s favorite cop, has been blindsided by the sudden death of his best friend, NFL star Brad Cooper, and becoming the legal guardian of Brad’s son, Drew—a bitter, angry sixteen-year-old with a dangerous secret. Shane is determined to pry the truth from Drew, but only manages to alienate him—and winds up going head to head with Juvenile Detective Daisy Callahan, whose job is to protect the teen’s best interests.
Shane has always been drawn to Daisy’s beauty and strength, but he’s determined not to allow their intense attraction to interfere with his duty ever again. It’s a vow that will prove difficult to keep, as the realities of Shane and Daisy’s blossoming love and their growing bond with the grieving teen propel Shane headlong into danger for the new family he’s sworn to protect.
As you can see, the novella and book 1 are different stories with two different cases for the couple to solve. The reader does not have to read the novella to enjoy and understand SWORN, so no worries there.
Suz: Daisy Callahan is the heroine of ARMED AND DANGEROUS, can you tell us a little bit about her?
Jo: Daisy is a home-grown Sugarland woman who’s known Shane since high school—not that he ever gave her the time of day. She’s always had an unrequited love for one of the town’s most sought-after bachelors, and Shane doesn’t want to be caught. She moved away for a while, but during the Firefighter series, she had moved back to town and was terrified when Shane was shot and almost died in LINE OF FIRE. She loves kids, which is why she works as a juvenile officer, and has a huge heart.
Suz: ARMED AND DANGEROUS leads into the first full-length book Sworn To Protect. What’s changed between Shane and Daisy?
Jo: Without giving away too much… In ARMED, Shane can’t deny his attraction to Daisy anymore, and she’s thrilled. But he’s not ready to commit, which has them in an unhappy place in their relationship when SWORN opens…
Suz: How is this sudden change affecting their relationship?
Jo: They work at the police department together and their cases often overlap, so you can see what a problem this would be. She wants a committed relationship, he doesn’t. At first. By the time he starts to realize what he’s lost, the man has a LOT of making up to do!
Suz: As any good romantic suspense book, there’ danger lurking in the shadows, can you give us a little hint as to what’s going on?
Jo: As the blurb hints above, Shane’s best friend, Tennessee Titans star Brad Cooper, has died of a suspected drug overdose. But that’s not the whole story. Brad’s 16-year-old son Drew, who Shane has now become legal guardian of, is keeping a terrible secret about his dad’s death. Shane and Daisy will have to work together to solve the mystery, protect Drew, and become a family in the process.
Suz: What and who is next in the Sugarland Blue series?

Jo: I’ll just go ahead and reveal that the next story, HOT PURSUIT, is Detective Taylor Kayne’s story! That book is supposed to be out later this year. Taylor is Shane’s partner on the force, and I just love the witty barbs they exchange and their almost bromance. Yes, I have to admit I channel a bit of the “new” Hawaii Five-0’s Steve and Danny when I’m writing about them. Taylor is Danny to Shane’s Steve. I can’t help myself! And it was certainly a no-brainer as to whose story was going to be next.
Suz: And while we’re at it, when is the next Alpha Pack out for J.D. Tyler?
Jo: Next up is HUNTER’S HEART (Alpha Pack #4), which is Ryon Hunter’s story! It will be released on September 3, 2013. This one promises to be exciting and action-packed, as well as sexy. Here’s the blurb:
Ryon Hunter sees dead people—spirits that beg him for help in ways he can’t understand. He’d do anything to end the torment, until a beautiful spirit appears to him with a plea he can’t ignore: Help me…I’m alive. The woman is wildlife biologist Daria Bradford, mortally wounded after encountering a white wolf, calling to Ryon through a rare Psy gift. When Ryon locates Daria in the Shoshone National Park, it is almost too late, but nursing her back to health at the Alpha Pack compound brings a new complication—Daria is his destined mate, and Ryon is afraid of what will happen when she discovers what he is, and what he had to do to save her life. But the biggest threat of all is still loose in the forest, leaving a merciless trail of death behind it. The Alpha Pack goes on the hunt for the mysterious white wolf, determined to stop the murderous rogue… only to find that the most lethal creature of all is the one they can’t see coming…
Jo: Thank you all for having me here today! I’m giving away one download of ARMED AND DANGEROUS and one copy of SWORN TO PROTECT to 2 readers. Yes—both readers will receive the novella and SWORN if chosen! Just comment or answer the daily question for a chance to win.
Question: Who is your favorite TV or movie police officer/detective/agent of ALL TIME and what was the name of the series/movie? What was it about him or her that you loved so much?

Waving madly at you from the Lair’s cabana bar!
Hey Bandit Buddies, we’re over here.
As you approach you see Suz and her good friend JD Tyler noshing on some steak bruschetta and sipping on mojitos.
Suz: JD and I have been talking about BLACK MOON, her third full length book in the Alpha Pack series. Pull up a chair and join in!
Suz: JD, you once told me that if Criss Angel and Adam Lambert had a child it would be Kalen. That was a very graphic visual description and I immediately went, “whoa, bad boy to the mega degree!” So, exactly how did you come up with his character in the scheme of the Alpha Pack world?
JD: I love this question, because I enjoy talking about how Kalen came to be. I recently told USA Today’s Happy Ever After that some characters are created, and some simply stroll from the shadows and take your breath away. Sorcerer/Necromancer/panther shifter Kalen Black from BLACK MOON was like that for me—I didn’t sit down and painstakingly outline his character. When the Alpha Pack team was watching the old cemetery, a young man emerged from the darkness wearing an old, battered leather duster, raven hair falling around his face, surveying the area with kohl-rimmed green eyes that reflected far too much sorrow. And in that moment, I knew I had met a rare, signature character that readers would love and who would define my series for the duration.

Suz: Did you always intend for him to be the misfit in the pack and a linchpin for either their future or their demise? (BTW readers, isn’t that a YUMMY cover?)
JD: From the second Kalen walked into that cemetery, I know he would be a critical character. Until then, I had no idea. The best characters are like that, I think—they simply grab you and refuse to let go!
Suz: In BLACK MAGIC, the e-book novella, you introduced your readers to the burgeoning relationship between Kalen and Mackenzie. How did that affect how you approached their story in Black Moon?
JD: In BLACK MAGIC, Kalen and Mackenzie come together in passion after narrowly escaping an attack by a Sluagh. That night holds repercussions that reach far into BLACK MOON in several ways. One, it leaves Mac with a secret she’s not sure she can share, considering the man she’s falling for dumped her, seemingly without a backward glance. Two, he handed over something very important to Mac in order to protect her, leaving him vulnerable when BLACK MOON begins. The stage has been set for a huge battle, and heartbreak before things get better…
Suz: Kalen had a very rough life even before he was on the streets. Without giving away anything, how did you see Kalen’s struggle in this book?
JD: Kalen’s rough home life growing up, with only his grandmother as his rock, was essential to his emotional development as a grown man struggling to find his place. He finally lands in the Alpha Pack, starts to fall in love with Mackenzie, but even then, with the love and stability he’s always longed for within his grasp, he can’t trust that it’s real.
In BLACK MOON, Kalen is mentally struggling against being seduced to the side of evil by the Unseelie King Malik, and those were among the hardest scenes I’ve ever written. Kalen is a good man losing the battle for his mind, a man who’s never had love and wants it so desperately. He’s fighting against accepting a twisted form of love from a force who’s sweet-talking him, saying all the right things. Now he’ll have to find that core of inner strength that’s always been there, and use it to save everyone he loves.
Suz: Nick is a very interesting character. He’s not only the pack’s leader, he’s also a PreCog. Can you tell the readers what that means and how he deals with his “gift”.
JD: Nick Westfall is the commander of the Alpha Pack, a PreCog (meaning he can sometimes see the future) and a rare born white wolf. He’s very mysterious, outwardly strong yet dealing with several lifetimes of inner agony. He carries the secret of a tragic past, and nobody knows that Nick is actually more than two hundred years old. His gift as a PreCog is more of a burden, and he rarely interferes with the future even when it holds something bad—he interfered once, with horrifying results. He tries to guide without imposing his will when he gets visions, and that’s a razor’s edge for him to tread.
Eventually, Nick’s past will be revealed when it comes back to haunt him…
Suz: So what’s next in the Alpha Pack world?
JD: BLACK MOON releases today, Tuesday, December 4, and I’m so excited! Here’s the blurb:
A group of former Navy SEALS, the Alpha Pack is a top-secret team of wolf shifters with Psy powers combating the greatest dangers in the world. But sometime those dangers are more intimate than they bargained for…
Ever since he saved Dr. Mackenzie Grant’s life, panther shifter and sorcerer Kalen Black has had trouble keeping the beautiful doctor out of his thoughts, and his heart. The brush with death awakened an intense passion between them—one that for the first time had the notorious loner letting down his guard.
With the Alpha Pack battling an evil Fae who is slowly gaining control over Kalen’s mind, Kalen can no longer trust his own actions, and he breaks off his affair with Mackenzie in order to keep her safe. But when Mackenzie learns that she is carrying Kalen’s child, no amount of danger will keep her away from the man she loves. To be with his mate and unborn child, Kalen will have to unleash the full fury of his power, and risk destroying them all…
JD: Next up in the series is HUNTER’S HEART, the 4th installment in the Alpha Pack series. (Due to be released in late summer/fall 2013) This is Ryon Hunter’s story, and while I don’t have back cover copy yet to share, I can tell readers that 1) A big secret will be revealed involving the Alpha Pack, regarding a question posed back in PRIMAL LAW and 2) this is a “predator” story. It explores the question—what if one of Malik’s and Dr. Gene Bowman’s test subjects, an innocent human man, was an experiment gone wrong and accidentally got unleashed on the world when the labs were destroyed? Can Ryon, Ryon’s mate Daria, and the Pack save this man inside the creature? They’d better hope so. Because the most dangerous predator is the one you can’t see coming…
In spring of 2013, my Sugarland Blue series that centers on the Sugarland, Tennessee Police Department (written as Jo Davis) launches with the novella ARMED AND DANGEROUS in April. The next month, in May 2013 is the first book, SWORN TO PROTECT. Both the novella and full-length book feature the popular Detective Shane Ford, who first appeared in my Firefighters of Station Five series!
After that, I have two more books under contract—the 5th Alpha Pack book, character and story to be announced, and the 2nd Sugarland Blue book, tentative title HOT PURSUIT (could change). HOT PURSUIT is slated to be Detective Taylor Kayne’s story. Taylor is Shane’s partner in Homicide.
So dear readers, do you like Bad Boys as your heroes? What about Bad Boys attracts you to them? Who is your favorite romance Bad Boy and why?

One of the perks of being a Bandita is I get to invite back some of my favorite authors, not to mention people, to sit and talk about their writing. So today I’ve asked JD Tyler to join me in the Lair’s kitchen for a little noshing over her newest release, SAVAGE AWAKENING. On the menu:
Steak Bruschetta—a favorite of both of ours Hot Spinach and Artichoke dip (I’ll add the recipe for this to the members’ only section after we chat!) with pita chips And A large pitcher of white sangria…Sven is muttering a comment about me taking over the kitchen again as he makes our drink!
Suz: So, JD, pull up a bar stool while I put the bruschetta in the oven for a quick melting of the cheese over the basil, sun dried tomatoes and basil. You’ve been a very busy girl lately, what with the eBook release of BLACK MAGIC last month and now the release of SAVAGE AWAKENING this month! Girl, how do you get so much writing done?
JD: It hasn’t been easy. Due to some life changes, it’s been tough to get my writing done lately, but I set aside a portion of each day to work on my page and word count goals. Sometimes I make it, and other days, well… I end up having Steak Bruschetta and sangria therapy with my good friend Suz!
Suz: When you started the ALPHA PACK series did you have an over all arc for the series, or did you just start with one book and let it build from that?
JD: Good question! I don’t think anyone has asked me that before, that I can recall. I began with an outline for the series that named the characters, their abilities, and where the plots of the first 3 books were basically headed. But it wasn’t until I started writing PRIMAL LAW that the bigger arc started to really form and become clear. My readers have guessed by now that the major plot arc over the first 3 books is headed to an explosive culmination in Kalen’s book, BLACK MOON. I already know where the next arc is headed in the series, but I’m not telling yet! Suz: At the end of PRIMAL LAW we learn that the traitorous Beryl is not only NOT dead like the pack assumed, but has a much more intimate connection to the group. Care to explain how?
JD: When we first meet Beryl in the prologue of PRIMAL LAW, it’s no secret that she’ll probably be important in the future—which is the purpose of the prologue, to show (not tell) what the guys went through when she betrayed them, and so that she doesn’t come out of left field later in the book. So, she’s Jaxon Law’s former lover, and she’s linked to the main bad guy. But WHO is the Big Boss? That’s the question…
Suz: Sisters play an important part in SAVAGE AWAKENING. Rowan Chase has her own connection to the pack, doesn’t she?
JD: She certainly does! Rowan is a tough LAPD police officer who grew up with her younger brother, Micah, in one of the roughest barrios in East L.A. Now she protects the people she’s known all her life. She thinks there isn’t much that can scare her anymore, that she’s seen it all… Until Micah goes missing and her search for him lands her smack in the middle of a paranormal world she never imagined in her worst nightmares. And then her search leads her to Aric, the smartass redheaded wolf shifter, and her life is turned upside down yet again…
Suz: We met Aric Savage in PRIMAL LAW as the wisecracking Firestarter/Telekinetic of the pack. He’s the kind of hero I think is hardest to convince love is possible, how do you do that in SAVAGE AWAKENING?
JD: Oh, I didn’t convince him—that was all Rowan! She’s strong, self-assured, no-bullshit. Aric hasn’t been easy in his skin in years, and he covers for those feelings of inadequacy with his snarky attitude. He just doesn’t believe he’s worthy of a woman like Rowan. But she sees the vulnerable man inside who wants so badly to love and be loved, and yet he won’t give in. Reaching him seems impossible, and if she walks away, he’ll literally die…
Suz: Ok, without giving anything away, can I just say that you’ve made some really gruesome bad guys for this pack to fight. Without wondering where your imagination gets them, why so creepy?
JD: I couldn’t tell you where my imagination gets the baddies if I tried, so no worries there. I guess that’s my love of horror flicks and books coming to the fore! (Stephen King, anyone?) When I’m writing, the creepier the better. And to me, the most terrifying of all is what you can’t see coming.
Suz: What’s next in your writing schedule?
JD: Right now, I’m working on Kalen Black’s story, BLACK MOON, which is due to my editor soon. After that, I’ll start writing book 1 in my new contemporary series SUGARLAND BLUE, coming out next spring under my Jo Davis name. It’s the spinoff of my FIREFIGHTERS OF STATION FIVE series that my readers have been requesting for quite a while, and it focuses on the heroes at the Sugarland Police Dept., the dangers they face, and the women who love them. (Think BLUE BLOODS) Readers will be treated to some old favorites (Six-Pack, anyone?) and new loves. And yes, Detective Shane Ford gets the first book!
I’m also thrilled to announce that I’ve just sold books 4 and 5 of the Alpha Pack series to NAL! I’ll start writing book 4 this summer, after I finish book 1 of SUGARLAND BLUE, and the tentative title is HUNTER’S MOON. Three guesses who the hero of that story is! I can’t wait! I hope my readers feel the same way.
JD is giving away a signed copy of Savage Awakening to one lucky commentor today.

JD Tyler and Suz are sitting at the Lair’s new bar sipping on drinks from the pitcher of mojitos Sven has mixed up for them when in walks Addison Fox.
Suz, reaching to pour a third glass of the delicious cocktail:Over here, Addison!
JD: Hey Addison! Bout time you showed up, girlfriend.
Addison: I am so excited to spend the day with you guys and the Banditas! The Lair is always one of the most fun – and hopping – places on the web!
JD, lifting her glass in a toast: I’ll drink to that!
Clinking of glasses sound, followed by laughter. Sven, one eyebrow lifted in question, turns to see if the trio is going to start trouble, which sends the friends into another set of devious laughter. Obviously he knows their shenanigans from previous visits.
Suz sets her glass down and turns to her friends: I’ve started writing an erotic novella. I was wondering, you both have been multi published in novel length books. What was different about writing a novella set in your paranormal series?
Addison: I’d actually start with what is the same. The world of my zodiac warriors is consistent book to book – that part was actually quite easy to get back into. What was different was finding a way in WAVE OF MEMORIES to put my hero and heroine together quickly vs. the canvas of a full-length novel to get them together. I’m not ashamed to say I used that age-old tactic to help get them together quickly….they’ve got a history with each other!
JD: I’ve read many novellas, but I had never written one until BLACK MAGIC. When my editor asked me to write one set in the Alpha Pack’s world, I was both excited and nervous. The idea of squeezing a story into five or so chapters was daunting to me—sort of like trying to fit an elephant into a marble sack. I think “big” story, so that was different for me. I knew I wanted to write a novella for Kalen Black and Mackenzie, but I also knew they would have a full-length book. I’ll explain more about how I worked that in a bit.
A cabana boy wanders past and the trio stop to admire the hitch in his gait.
Suz, clearing her throat and getting back to the subject of their visit: I’ve been approaching this as a challenge to see if I can tell a complete story in a shorter format. What do you two think are the pros about writing a novella?
Addison: Getting to revisit my warriors in WAVE OF MEMORIES and having a chance to put more stories in front of readers, hands down. I absolutely love everything about crafting an entire novel, but the realities of time means there is a wait time between books. As a voracious reader myself, I love when my wait time I shortened and it’s just as much fun as a writer!
JD: I get to spend more time with those characters, in this case the heroes of the Pack! I also got to tease the reader with the promise of HUGE things to come when they read Kalen and Mackenzie’s full-length book BLACK MOON, which releases in December. Yes, I’m evil that way.
Suz: To being evil!
The trio grin and again clink glasses.
Suz: Like I said, this is a challenge for me. Having to be very tight in my writing. What do you consider the cons to writing a novella?
Addison: The only con is that you don’t get to spend as much time with these characters on the page because you pretty much have their love story on high speed!
JD: I didn’t find a con with writing this one. Mostly because Kalen and Mac’s story isn’t over, it’s just beginning…
Suz: Just beginning? Oooo sounds intriguing!
JD smirks in that usual mischievous way of hers and reaches for the pitcher of mojitos.
Suz: Since I write for Ellora’s Cave, all my stuff comes out as strictly an e-book at first. How do you feel about your novellas being just offered as an e-book?
Addison: I’m excited that digital publishing is making more options available to authors. While there is a component of universal availability that comes from being in print and digital, the fact that my publisher can put books/stories out more quickly is a benefit to me and my readers.
That said, recognizing the story won’t be universally available, I did ensure that the novella weaves in with the broader world I’ve created, yet also stands alone. I think that’s actually a really important component in any book in a series – the story needs to be a stand-alone story first – but it is especially true with an e-only novella.
JD: I think being offered as an eBook makes perfect sense for not just my novella, but all of the Penguin eSpecials. Readers can buy instantly and begin to enjoy the story right on their eReader, tablet, or computer, and that convenience is a very good thing.
Suz: Well my experimental novella is NOT related to my book The Surrender of Lacy Morgan, but it is an American Historical that takes place after the Civil War. Tell me about your novellas…
Addison: WAVE OF MEMORIES is Aidan’s story. Aidan is my Aquarius Warrior and he’s got a wonderfully angsty backstory with Megaera (“Meg” for short), one of the Furies. An old enemy of both of them has come after Meg and the only person she can turn to for help is Aidan, her former lover (don’t ya just love it when that happens?!?!) Of course in WAVE OF MEMORIES, the tables are turned on our dear stubborn Aidan pretty quickly when his old feelings for Meg come roaring back to life.
JD: Kalen Black and Dr. Mackenzie Grant first met in PRIMAL LAW when Kalen was recruited to join the Alpha Pack. BLACK MAGIC (releasing on March 6) is the beginning of Kalen and Mackenzie’s story, to be concluded in December 2012 with their full-length book, BLACK MOON. In BLACK MAGIC, Sorcerer/Necromancer/black panther shifter Kalen Black and Dr. Mackenzie Grant battle a lethal enemy and come together in an explosion of passion. One night will set in motion dire consequences not only for the couple, but for the entire Pack. Those consequences will reach their full, devastating potential in BLACK MOON. As the Pack’s commander/PreCog Nick Westfall predicted, a terrible storm is coming, and Kalen will face not only a battle within himself, but a war on the horizon that could end them all…
For those of you who are wondering, the novella IS a stand-alone story. Readers won’t have to read the novella to fully enjoy Kalen and Mackenzie’s full-length book. Yet reading the events in the novella first-hand, knowing exactly what happened the night Kalen and Mac first gave in to their passion, will greatly enhance enjoyment of their journey. I hope my readers love the ride!
Suz, turns to look at the pool where several cabana boys and one sexy cowboy are swimming: Speaking of rides, have y’all tried the slide over by the pool?
Sven retu rns with a second pitcher of drinks and a platter of nachos, hiding a smile, knowing this trio is about to drift into less literary topics and more sensual debate.
So, readers, while me, JD and Addison oogle the males in the Lair, how about telling us what you like about novellas? Does having a “special” ebook in a series wet your appetites for more?
We have prizes from both JD and Addison for several commenters today.

Wheeeeeee! Welcome to March!
Is it blowing in like a Lion where you are, or as mild as the proverbial Lamb? Aas usual, we’ve got a great lineup for March and a lot of exciting things going on. There’s also the Ides of March and the ever popular, green-beer-drinking joy of St. Patrick’s Day! WOOHOO!
We’ll all be lifting glasses of Guiness in March (or other beverages of choice…Irish Coffee, perhaps?) to celebrate book releases and MAJOR MILESTONES!
Lesseeee, where do I start? Bandita Trish has a fabulous new book coming out with Harlequin American. Her March release is COWBOY TO THE RESCUE, second in her Teagues of Texas trilogy.
Bandita Jo’s wonderful FRAIL BLOOD will hit the market later this month as well. It’s another brilliant read from Bandita Jo! (And I’m dying to get it b/c I only got to read a little bit….)
Our own Bandita Kate has a great new book out, ONE BOOK IN THE GRAVE, and yes, I know we talked about it last month, but did you know it hit the
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER LIST!? Kate’s latest debuted on the list at #15!! She also hit PUBLISHERS WEEKLY! Garnering a Starred review (nearly impossible!) and making a splashy #9 debut on THEIR list of great books!!
WOOT!!! Party Hats and Shamrock stew for EVERYONE!!!
Let’s see…ahem…okay, back to our regularly scheduled Coming Attractions pot….
So, what’s up in MARVELOUS MARCH?
Look out tomorrow, March 2, becauase our own Anna Campbell is coming on with the fabulous Annie West! (www.Annie-west.com) It’ll be a rocking day in the Bandit Lair with those two! Annie’s popping in to tell us about her latest American release, teh fabulous GIRL IN THE BEDOUIN TENT. Get out your Lawrence of Arabia gear for this wonderful sheikh romance, gals!
I don’t know about you, but I’m always up for (har, har!) a great read from Annie West! And when you get Anna and Annie together, in the same blog space….WATCH OUT!!
Diane Kelly makes her Lair debut on Saturday, March 3, with Bandita Nancy.I f you’ve never seen the humor in the IRS, prepare to have your eyes opened. Diane’s second mystery, DEATH, TAXES, AND A SKINNY NO-WHIP LATTE features the return of IRS agent Tara Holloway. Diane and Nancy will chat about Tara’s adventures and the hunky boyfriend she romances when the bullets aren’t flying.
Now you KNOW you want to be here for that! I’m betting that something goes BOOM! in this book, so I’m going to be front and center on Saturday to chat with Diane!
Now, as much fun as that’s going to be, brace yourselves for the wild and wonderful trio of authors coming on March 5! JD Tyler and Addision Fox visit with Bandita Suz to talk about their forthcoming e-novellas BLACK MAGIC and WAVE OF MEMORIES. A lot of you have your e-readers poised and ready to go for this one, I know. With all the wonderful success of Suz’s book, and the fabulous following both JD and Addison have garnered, this should be a fabulous day to tune in and hear about the amazing world of the e-novella!
March 6 is going to be yet another rockin’ day as Joan Swan (www.JoanSwan.com) visits the Lair with Anna Campbell again acting as hostess! This is Joan’s debut visit to the Lair with her debut book. She’ll be telling us all about her hot new romantic suspense, FEVER. Wow, that’s some cover!
On March 8, join Bandita Nancy for a Reader-Writer-Roundtable! Nancy hosts Maureen Hardgree, Eilis Flynn, Gerri Russell, Louisa Cornell, and Barbara Monajem for a discussion of who’s reading (and writing) what this month. I know you’ll want to join in THAT as all the Banditas, and Bandita Buddies are constantly updating their To Be Read piles!
Then we’re headed back to the dessert climes as Teresa Morgan, author of CINDERELLA AND THE SHEIKH, HANDCUFFED TO THE SHEIKH, AND SHEIKH WITH BENEFITS will guest with Jo on March 12. She’ll be discussing “What’s Your Hero Fetish?”
Oh my, THAT should get some interesting posts going, don’t you think? Hmmmmm? Grins.
Be sure to stop in. Sven and the gang are making hummus, importing a wide variety of olives, dates and other “desert-y” foods. (But don’t worry, if you don’t like hummus, he’ll have his usual array of other delicious delicacies!)
And Bandita Donna brings Jules Bennett to the lair on the 16th for an inaugural visit! Woot! We love meeting new authors in the Lair!! Jules new book IN THE SPOTLIGHT will be out this month from Harlequin Desire.
The ever-popular and well known Robin Perini guests with Nancy on the 18th, celebrating the release of her first Harlequin Intrigue, Finding Her Son.
And last but not least, join Bandita Nancy again on the 21st as she welcomes Jana Oliver to the Lair. Jana Oliver will return to the Lair with her demon-trapping heroine, 17-year-old Riley Blackthorne. Jana and Nancy will talk about Riley’s latest adventure, FORGIVEN.
Contest, contest, contest! Check it out!
In March and April, Bandita Anna Campbell is running a Catch Up on the Campbells Contest. Anna’s giving FIVE lucky people the chance to win a book of their choice from her backlist. That’s CLAIMING THE COURTESAN, UNTOUCHED, TEMPT THE DEVIL, CAPTIVE OF SIN, MY RECKLESS SURRENDER or the Australian Romance Readers Association’s favorite historical romance of 2011, MIDNIGHT’S WILD PASSION. Just email Anna on anna@annacampbell.info and tell her which book you’d like and you go into the draw. The contest closes 30th April, 2012, and entry is open internationally.
