Hi Anna,
Happy Thanksgiving.
1. Since I’m missing hockey, I would like to see Henrik Lundqvist across the table for Thanksgiving dinner.
2. I do like turkey. I like dark meat.
3. Gravy and stuffing.
4. Having too much alcohol and dessert.
5. I’m just thankful that all our family and friends are fine and healthy after Sandy. We consider ourselves very lucky.
Jane, Happy Thanksgiving! And congrats on the rooster. You know how greedy he is, so guard the dinner carefully!
Dessert is my holiday vice.
I’m glad your family and friends weathered the hurricane safely.
Happy Thanksgiving, Jane!
Hide the GR well, we wouldn’t someone getting him confused with the giant bird on the table!
1. Goerge Clooney
2.LOVE turkey!
3. Stuffing only, can’t stand gravy at all, ever.
4.Sneaking away where no one can find me for an hour or so.
5.Thankful for my hubby standing next to me these past few months, they have been hard, but he helps.
Amy, I love turkey, too! I know what you mean about wanting some quiet in all the holiday clamor. Sometimes it gets to be too much.
Whatever you’ve been dealing with, I’m glad your dh has been a stalwart ally. We all need such a supporter at some point.
Happy Thanksgiving, Amy!
May it be a blessed time for you and your dh! And may the remainder of the year bring you peace.
Firstly Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate have a great day.
1. Which hunk (husbands/partners/boyfriends not allowed) would you like to bring you your Thanksgiving dinner?
Would have to be Hugh Jackman
2. Do you like turkey? If not, what do you eat instead? For our Veggies out there – what’s your alternative to turkey? If you do like turkey – white meat or dark?
I don’t mind turkey prefer the dark meat
3. Gravy and/or stuffing or neither?
Both LOL
4. Favourite holiday vice?
Eating and doing nothing
5. Tell us one thing you are thankful for.
My family and friends and the books I have to read
Have Fun
Helen
Helen, thank you for the holiday good wishes. When I think of holidays and Australia, I think of the scene in the movie by that name, when they’re having Christmas dinner outside as the sun sets. It’s a beautiful image.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, Helen!
How did I know you’d bring old Hugh with you?
1. Which hunk (husbands/partners/boyfriends not allowed) would you like to bring you your Thanksgiving dinner?
Ooooooh… it’s gotta be Christian Slater… what a hottie. Or if he’s not available? Danny Masterson.
Yep… the guy who plays Steven Hyde out of ‘That 70′s Show’… who cares if he’s married – he’s hot!
2. Do you like turkey? If not, what do you eat instead? For our Veggies out there – what’s your alternative to turkey? If you do like turkey – white meat or dark?
Deep down in me, there’s a carnivore… and I like white meat. But I would love to try out Yams. And who makes them with mashmallows? I’ve heard they’re quite nice that way.
3. Gravy and/or stuffing or neither?
Gravy with stuffing… sound weird, but i love it.
4. Favourite holiday vice?
chocolate, with more chocolate and chocolate on top of that…
5. Tell us one thing you are thankful for.
My health, my family and my friends.
Mozette, we have gravy with stuffing, so there’s nothing weird about it at our house.
Amen to chocolate! It’s, like, a food group. *g*
Mozette, Happy Thanksgiving!
Yams…well, they’re orange and sweet, and some people put marshmallows on top of them.
My daughter makes a sweet potato casserole that is pretty darn good. She roasts the sweet potatoes, then peels off the skin. She mashes them with butter, salt and then adds orange juice and maple syrup. Trust me, it’s yummy!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Or, Tom Selleck…
1. Sven can bring me dinner along with a Swedish massage, hehe.
2. I do like turkey and it seems that I only eat it at Thanksgiving time since we don’t usually have it on Christmas Day. Another story that I’ve shared before…
3. Both! Love gravy on my potatoes, turkey, and stuffing/dressing. I love stuffing cold the day after Thanksgiving.
4. Hmmm, eating way too much.
5. I am thankful for my husband, daughter, family, friends, and cyber friends.
Deb, Happy Thanksgiving!
I love gravy on rice or stuffing but not so much on potatoes (unless mashed, but then it’s yum!) or meat.
Tom Selleck is like vintage wine. The man just keeps getting better. We love Blue Bloods, but it’s on opposite Haven, and we don’t Tivo. Having so many shows available online is a great boon.
Happy Thanksgiving, Deb!
You sound like my hubby and daughters. Gravy on everything, almost! One year I didn’t make enough gravy and I heard about it for the entire next year!! LOL
1. Which hunk (husbands/partners/boyfriends not allowed) would you like to bring you your Thanksgiving dinner?
Channing Tatum
2. Do you like turkey? If not, what do you eat instead? For our Veggies out there – what’s your alternative to turkey? If you do like turkey – white meat or dark?
Love turkey, white meat!
3. Gravy and/or stuffing or neither?
Neither
4. Favourite holiday vice?
Overindulging on sweet potatoes!
5. Tell us one thing you are thankful for.
My son home from college, sleeping in the next room!
Hi, MJ–I also love sweet potatoes. I can eat them pretty much any way, but the dh whips them and adds craisins, and that has become my favorite.
Our boy is also home from college, the first time we’ve seen him since we (unknowingly) left him in the path of a hurricane in August. The house is just livelier with him around.
Happy Thanksgiving, MJ!
Now you sound like my son. He likes neither stuffing or gravy. It was a challenge to get him enthused over the meal. But, he loves southern style greenbeans, corn casserole, turkey, rolls AND pumpkin and apple pie.
I think my grandson may be following in his footsteps!
Just a quick happy thanksgiving to everyone (may you have a great day wether in the US or not) before heading out to enjoy my fave holiday vice — enjoying to much yummy food
Gamistress, Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

4. Favourite holiday vice? Stuffinig lol.
5. Tell us one thing you are thankful for. Books!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Catslady! I also am thankful for books.
The dh prefers dark meat, as did my mom. I much prefer white meat, but the boy “will eat anything put in front of [him] as long as it’s not a sandwich.” He has just never liked sandwiches.
The dog, of course, will eat pretty much anything. *g*
Anna, Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
My guest hunk would be Sam Worthington.
I do like turkey and prefer white meat.
I have gravy on my stuffing, so that works. I actually prefer rice and gravy to stuffing and gravy, just because I was raised that way.
My favorite holiday vice is spiked egg nog with our homemade fruitcake.
One thing I’m thankful for is that my book is out. This time last year, I didn’t even have a contract, but I now have a book out with another book and a novella in the pipeline.
Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow banditas and all our buddies. We don’t whether you comment or lurk. Either way, having you around is what makes this blog fun!
The boy is home, and he and his dad are about to start on an apple pie, entirely from scratch. This will be new for us all.
Our dinner will be turkey, rice, stuffing, gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes, and apple pie. With wine and coffee. And probably bread. And the dh’s homemade cranberry compote. The turkey is small so we should have just enough leftovers to not become tiresome.

4. left over stuffing…I bake an entire extra pan just so I can have stuffing all weekend!
5. Family, friends, Banditas and our Bandit buddies!!
Hey, Suz–Turkey gumbo sounds interesting! We make extra stuffing because the boy loves it so much.
Happy Thanksgiving to all the wonderful people who hang around the lair – and to those who aren’t people like the Rooster and Ermingarde! Oh, no, now I’ve upset them both!
1. Which hunk (husbands/partners/boyfriends not allowed) would you like to bring you your Thanksgiving dinner?
Hmm, Chris Hemsworth looks like he could carve a turkey in style!
2. Do you like turkey? If not, what do you eat instead? For our Veggies out there – what’s your alternative to turkey? If you do like turkey – white meat or dark?

The wonderful community in the lair.
Anna, I’m also thankful for this lovely community our buddies have formed here.
Also for Chris Hemsworth. *g* We’re finally going to watch Snow White & the Huntsman tonight.
Just popping in a bit late. I hope all who were celebrating Thanksgiving had a happy one. I’m Canadian but I did have turkey for supper as we thawed the frozen breast meat we put away from our Thanksgiving back in October.
Hunk? ~ I don’t watch any movies or much TV so it’s got to be George Strait. He’s closer to my age as well.
Love turkey and prefer the dark meat.
Considering we had turkey warmed in gravy on stove top stuffing for supper tonight, I like both stuffing and gravy.
My vice ~ Stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin or pecan pie.
I’m thankful for my family and friends.
