Happy New Year!!!

2014-image-Happy-new-year-free-hd‘Tis the Season…

Oh wait, ‘Tis the End of the Season.  The holidays are wrapping down, the decorates are looking tired, the gifts are opened and the wrapping gone.  And the last of those decadent, yummily fattening desserts are almost gone.  YAY -that means it’s time to celebrate the New Year!  2014, here we come!!!

We had an awesome year here in the Lair.  And we appreciate each and every one of your fabulous Bandita Buddies!  You are so great, visiting us and chatting here on the blog, checking out our books and following us on Facebook.  The community and friendships here in the Lair are one of the Romance Bandits’ greatest blessings, for which we thank you all! new_years_eve

Here are a few more New Years wishes and thoughts from the Lair:

I wish love, happiness, health and prosperity to all the Bandits and BB’s for the New Year. 2013 was an exciting one for me with my Romans debut with The Patrician and Barbarian’s Soul gaining #1 Best Selling status on Amazon! As to 2014? Well, it’s sure to be magical…don’t ye know 😉 ~  from O’Joanie

Jeanne said:  I’m thankful for a great 2013, full of Bandita fun, and lots of retooling my writing career!  Now, I’m looking forward to getting Deadly Charms out – my way! – in 2014, as well as putting out a number of other fun things on which I’ve been working!  Look for some really fun stuff from me in the coming year!

Sven is grateful for the padded breeches he found under the tree this year.  He’s quite fond of all the pats on the butt he gets throughout the year, but 16 friendly women and a wily rooster take a toll on the tush.

Foanna (aka Anna Campbell) said:  I’ve had so much fun on the Bandita Blog in 2013 and I can’t wait to see what shenanigans the Bandits, Bandita Buddies, cabana boys, gladiators and dragon get up to in 2014. For me, the dude gets his book in August with WHAT A DUKE DARES, I’m doing another Christmas indie release, and I’m writing the fourth Sons of Sin book. Phew! Wishing you all a wonderful 2014!

From Christine:  We’re so lucky and blessed to have such a fantastic community here at Romance Bandits! I hope 2014 brings everyone peace and happiness and mucho success in your chosen endeavours. New things in store for me this year (hush-hush!) but I’m also looking forward to two books out in the Westruther series (more great chests!)–THE GREATEST LOVER EVER in January and THE WICKEDEST LORD ALIVE in July.

Our Dancing Donna said:  I’ll be dancing the night away this New Year’s Eve.  Hope 2014 brings all the banditas and bandita buddies health and prosperity, but also lots of laughter and dancing (grin).  As for me, I have a new sexy and intoxicating (hick!) Victorian historical coming out this spring – haven’t gotten the date yet.  I’m working on a couple of different projects and hope to have some exciting announcements in 2014.

val toast

I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous 2014, one full of fun surprises. My hope is that my family and my husband’s has a healthier 2014 than 2013. I have a lot of writing goals for the year, but uppermost is enjoying my writing without stressing out and writing stories that readers will love. ~ From Trish.

Nancy added:  A constant pleasure for 2013 was spending time in the Lair with the banditas and our buddies.  Highlights were my first RWA signing in July, the two trips I lucked into taking, and the time I spent with the dh and the boy.  I wish everyone a happy, healthy 2014!

Looking ahead, I’ll be continuing my mage series under the label The Light Mage Wars, with a novella coming out soon.  There may be some other news, depending on how things go.

Suz said:  As always, it’s been a pleasure spending 2013 hanging out in the Lair with our regular Bandita Buddies, both old and new! Wishing everyone much peace and joy in 2014. As for me, 2013 brought about a lot of changes, especially getting to leave nursing to write full time and I thank everyone who helped me by buying my books. Y’all are the best! In 2014 I hope to have VANISHED done for release in late January or early February, then I’m heading back to visit with the cast of characters in Westen.

I’m looking forward to a fantastic 2014 full of laughter and fun here in the Bandit lair.  Wishing all of the Bandits and Buddies the best New Year EVER! ~ says Cassondra.

From Anna:  2013 was a great year in the Bandit’s Lair and in the Sudgen household! I hope that 2014 is even better for everyone with great health, much happiness and success in whatever endeavours you undertake. Naturally, I wish for success for your sports teams too – as long as they aren’t competing against mine ;)!

I’m really looking forward to book 2 in the New Jersey Ice Cats series – A Perfect Trade – being released in July and book 3 either later in the year or early in 2015.

and from me (Tawny):  A big happy hug to everyone!! I can’t believe 2013 flew by as fast as it did, I’m still pinching myself over all the great happenings, such as my hitting the USA Today list.   I hope your year was filled with joy and love.   I’m so excited to see what the new year brings, and hope that 2014 is just as fabulous, and that all of our wonderful Bandita Buddies enjoy the many, many incredible posts, books and events we bring to them.

If you’d like to hear more about the many wonderful highlights we each loved about our year, be sure to read the Newsletter that comes out tomorrow morning. • Jane says:

Hope everyone has a great start to 2014. Most of my favorite moments were little things like getting to spend Thanksgiving with my little niece or having fun with my cousin and friends at a Super Bowl party or going to a midnight screening of superhero movies.

    • Tawny Weber says:

Jane, I love midnight screenings!! And, of course, anything with superheroes 🙂 You have some awesome memories!!! I hope your 2014 is just as blessed.

And hey, congrats on nabbing the rooster for the last time this year!! Who knows, he might turn over a new leaf and behave in the next.

    • Jane, you know I love superhero movies!

Congrats on the GR. Just watch out if he gets close to champagne! *g*

  • Caren Crane says:

Hi, everyone! I have been Away From Computer and then At Work (which is not conducive to being clever!). I did want to say that I am particularly grateful for all the Banditas and Buddies. This is such a warm and fun place to be, all the time. Y’all are awesome!

2013 was so special because my BFF from college just got married after Christmas for the FIRST TIME! She waited (and waited) and finally, at 48, married the man of her dreams. It is the best HEA I could have imagined for her and her adoptive kids. Simply the best way I could think of to end 2013!

I sincerely hope 2014 is wonderful for us all, and full of good health, good friends, love and great memories. To all the AUSSIES, Happy New Year already! 😀

    • Tawny Weber says:

Caren, that is so awesome!!! What a wonderful blessing and great way to end the year. You had to have a fabulous time celebrating 🙂

You are so right about how wonderful the Lair is. We have a wonderful home here, and thanks to all of our guests and BB’s, it’s always fun.

      Happy New Year!!

  • catslady says:

Best Wishes to all for the coming new year. We are the lucky ones for being able to join you ladies daily!! I think besides all the wonderful little things that happened through the year, celebrating my mother’s 91st birthday and my 45 yr. old nephew’s first child’s 1st birthday at a combined celebration. They are 90 years and 1 day apart 🙂

    • Tawny Weber says:

Oh wow – what an awesome blessing!! That had to be a birthday celebration o remember 🙂

Thank you SO much for visiting with us throughout the year, and for being one of our buddies!! We really appreciate you.

  • Diana says:

I don’t have a favorite memory for 2013 — most of the year has been terrible for my family. Hoping it can only get better from here…

Happy New Year!! Stay safe, watch out for the other guy, and don’t drink and drive!

  • Shannon says:

Happy New Year! There’s been many favorite moments, but I keep coming up with my most relaxing moments: being by the poolside with a good book. And many of those books have come from reading this blog. Thanks for all the fun and funny posts. I just downloaded a 31 December release. I’m not sure if I’ll get to it today or tomorrow, but there’s no better way to start or end a year than a good book. Okay, maybe a midnight kiss. But if I’m not getting one of those…

    • Tawny Weber says:

Oooh, relaxing with a great book by the pool is such a fabulous thing to celebrate!!! I hope your next year is filled with many more moments just like that 🙂

And i hope you get your book to read tonight 😀

      Happy New Year!!

  • Deb says:

Happy New Year!! There have been many happy moments for me this last year, some so simple that they were the happy-in-the-now moments. (Every day blessings, I guess you could say.) One of the sweetest was the birth of my stepson’s baby boy Jace last March. He’s a good little boy and gives the best sloppy kisses. 🙂

We aren’t going anywhere tonight. My husband adamantly refuses to go anywhere on NYE. So, we will make margaritas and probably just watch t.v. Maybe we’ll even stay up until midnight this year, LOL! *g*

    • Tawny Weber says:

Oooh, sloppy kisses rock!!! That’s a beautiful blessing to celebrate, congrats!! And go you on cherishing those little things. They really are what make our day to day special, aren’t they 🙂

We’re staying in, too. My husband rarely manages to stay awake past 10pm, although he’s going to give it a try 🙂

  • Posting quick as the internet has been unreliable today. Guess the geeks running the servers disappeared to celebrate early 🙂

I can not tell you how much I’ve enjoyed meeting you all on the RB blog. I feel like I have friends all over the world 🙂

Hope everyone has a great 2014 !!!! (Off to find my dancing shoes….)

    • Tawny Weber says:

      Happy Dancing, Donna 🙂

The site has been a stressor today, hasn’t it. I’m grateful for everyone who managed to post *g*

Big happy New Year hugs. I hope you have a fab night.

  • gamistress66 says:

    • Tawny Weber says:

      Happy New Year!!!

Sven and the boys are all decked out, dressed in their finest loincloths in celebration of a wild New Years kickoff!! They’ll be bringing around champagne, margaritas and whiskey, as well as canapés and yummy treats. 😉

I hope you enjoy your new year, and thank you so much for the wonderful toast!!! Sending you one right back with bright and shiny wishes for a blessed 2014!!!

  • Penney Wilfort says:

Happy writing New year to you all. love your books

  • Tawny, it’s hard to pick a single memory as a favorite. I’m happy to say there have been a number of moments this year that I want to hold onto. One of those was walking into the Grand Central signing at RWA and seeing stacks of the Guardian trade paperback set up on my table. That was a pretty giddy moment, actually.

The boy is meeting friends, but the dh, the dog, and I will have a quiet little celebration at home. Happy New Year to one and all!

  • Remember, the last booty post of 2013 went up last night. You can see it by clicking on the Booty link above. Any booty not claimed by Janary 3 goes back in the pot!

  • Kaelee says:

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! All the best to all of you!

2013 wasn’t a great year but some wonderful things did happen along with the not so wonderful ones.

I have a new great niece born at the end of August.

I got to see a lot of my cousins even if it was at my brother in low’s funeral.

On Boxing Day,(our day for the family present exchange) my present came from my five year old great nephew. He wanted me to open the present from the moment he stepped into my sister’s house. When he finally gave me the present his eyes were just shining with happiness. It was such a joyful feeling. Unfortunately the dress didn’t fit but I will find one that does and wear it for him.
