    • I’m excited about VANISHED, too! Don’t you just love the cover? It gets my heart racing.

I think often, the most romantic gestures are the small things, just little moments of thoughtfulness.

  • Jane says:

Happy February. I find the small gestures romantic like a surprise date night, cooking a favorite meal and little gifts like chocolate, flowers or even a DVD of favorite movie. I’m doing okay with my resolutions. One of them was to stop the late night snacking, but I haven’t been totally successful.

    • Jane,

I just said the same thing! The small gestures are often the most meaningful, the little moments that show that this person knows who you are and wants to make you happy.

  • Wow, Kate, what great stuff we’ve got going on in Feb! I don’t want to miss a day of all that. Hmm, romantic meals? I’m at the stage where I’m so sick of cooking, someone could cook me an old shoe and I’d think it was romantic just because I didn’t have to cook it. Especially if he cleaned up afterward! 😉

This is going to be a month to remember 😉 Thanks for a heads up to the festivities!

  • Cathy P says:

The February books sound great. No, I don’t have a favorite meal. Just please don’t give me liver and onions. Yuck! When my DH was still alive, he loved to cook, and his cooking was wonderful. He also was always bringing me flowers or chocolates. I would usually buy him a new DVD that he wanted or a new tie.

So, let’s talk February love and romance! What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for someone—or someone’s done for you?

Romance and me don’t really acknowledge each other at this time of year – as I haven’t had a Valentines in over 15 years. So, it’s just another day for me.

But way back when I did have somebody, I wasn’t too sure what to do about them and that day. He asked me if I had ever had a Valentine, and until I met him, I said, I didn’t. He was amazed and sad… so was our flatmate (whose girlfriend fell over laughing and I promptly threw something hard at her – I don’t like people making fun of me). But I went out and tried to find something my bf at the time would like… well! I went all out and bought everything he could ever own of the Looney Tunes’ Taz Devil range… and he loved it! Even now, after all those years of being broken up, he still can’t part with his Taz Devil Tie… even though he doesn’t wear it anywhere but to a wedding. 😛

Do you have a favorite romantic meal?

No… I’m not sure what one would look like. I’m 40 and never been romanced without the man expecting me to go to bed with him on the first date… what a loser. 🙁

And have any of your resolutions survived into February? Please share

Yep! I’m organising my house! 😀 First it started downstairs, and it’s looking great! Now, it’s starting to migrate upstairs. I was in the shower and looked around at all the shampoo I have sitting around in the cubical… so I just collected all the bottles I don’t use and threw them out! Next up: the cupboard under the sink, my wardrobe and the rest of the home office! 😀

    • Wow, good for you on organizing your house!!!! Every time I resolve to do that, I procrastinate until I’m suddenly up against a writing deadline and have a valid excuse for letting it stay unorganized. LOL

This Valentine’s Day, why not do something romantic for yourself? Do something special to make yourself smile that day, just for fun. 😀

  • Susan Sey says:

That is a whole bunch of awesome packed into the shortest month of the year, Kate! Can’t wait!

  • Diana Huffer says:

My favorite romantic meal would be the basics — a great steak with delicious sides like a baked potato and a vegetable or salad. For dessert, something decadently chocolate! 🙂

I don’t make resolutions because I usually set myself up for failure — not a nice feeling!

  • catslady says:

Such wonderful covers! After our first dog had passed and we swore no more dogs, he brought home the most adorable and sweetest dog ever, or when he brought our first kitten home, and when he had a new ring made for me after I lost the stone in my engagement ring. We use to have picnics with finger foods in our living room which was very romantic. hmmmm it’s been a while lol. My resolution was to read more books – don’t think I’ve increased my pace any but I am going to keep trying lol.

    • Sounds like you need to start planning a Valentine’s Day picnic, young lady!!! Really sounds like you have a good man there, very thoughtful and loving.

Love your resolution! Best resolution ever!!!

  • Kate, great job on the preview! It looks like another fun month ahead.

I didn’t make resolutions this year, but I did set (again) the goal of whittling the TBR pile. So far I’ve done held the line on reading more hard copies than I buy. If I read 1, I buy 0. Read 2, I can buy one, and so on.

    So far. *g*

  • Jo Robertson says:

Super great lineup this month, Kate. Thanks for giving us the low down.

  • Caren Crane says:

February is off to a great start. I can’t wait to read all these books. Except I’ve already read Nicki Salcedo’s and it’s FANTASTIC! 😀
