  • Amy Conley says:

Easy, FB PARTY! All parties honestly.

    • Caren Crane says:

Amy, has the GR moved some things into the guest room at your place? He may never leave! 😀

I totally agree with you about the FB party. They are such madness and fun!

Except, you know, BIRTHDAY MONTH! I always expect great things from May. I’ll be here all month, folks, so send me invitations! And cakes!

  • Jane says:

Wishing you an early Happy Birthday, Caren. I’m definitely looking forward to the big blogoversary party.

    • Caren Crane says:

Thanks, Jane! Last year I released a book on my birthday, which was a lot of work. This year I put if off a couple more weeks. 🙂

The FB party should be amazing! They are exhausting, but so much fun! I’ll have the fabulous Deb Marlowe and also huband/wife steampunk/Victorian magic writer team Clay and Susan Griffith as guests during my hour. It will be so much fun!

  • flchen1 says:

Oh boy–what a month of fun! Happy bidding, everyone!

    • Caren Crane says:

Fedora, it gets to be serious bidding wars over at Brenda’s auction, doesn’t it? I’ve won things before and always been so happy to get them! Auctions bring out the super-competitive parts of my nature that I can usually ignore. Until someone starts a bidding war, then it’s ON! 😀

      • flchen1 says:

I totally understand, Caren–I get that way too and must be forced to remember what I really actually want to own rather than what I just want to win 😉

  • Mary Preston says:

I am looking forward to seeing what May will bring.

    • Caren Crane says:

Mary, I have a feeling May will bring many more things than I’m ready for. Holy crap, it’s MAY already! I’d better go get that ding-dang book spit-shined…

  • Helen says:

    Hi Caren

I am looking forward to it all 🙂 I do love a good party and plan not to miss the facebook one and there of course are some wonderful guests to look forward to as well I have a very busy month this month already and I am sure I am going to be really tired by the end of it LOL. But of course a very big Happy Birthday to you Caren

    Have Fun

  • Caren Crane says:

Thanks, Helen, for the birthday wishes! May is always terribly busy. I realized this week that my girls will be home from college next Wednesday. Ack! Not sure I’m quite ready for that. Need to lay in groceries, for sure. 🙂

If we don’t all expire from fatigue before month-end, we’ll be lucky. Maybe June will be extra relaxing? Hm. Looking doubtful. 🙂

  • catslady says:

Congratulations to both Anna’s and Happy Birthday, Caren. It’s my oldest daughter’s 30th birthday on the 3rd so big celebration there!!
Looking forward to your Blogiversary and all the new posts!

  • Jo Robertson says:

An exciting lineup of guests and much fun with the Bandita Bash Celebration of our beginnings!

    • Caren Crane says:

Jo, I’m trying to get my head around the FB party. We did one for Red Door Reads last month. It was insanely fun, but man was it an energy suck! Just trying to keep up with all the comments and conversations was a lot. The most fun ever, though! And I can’t wait to see who wins all the goodies. It’s going to be fantastic!

  • Caren, you turn the coming attractions post into a party! And now I’ve got Waterloo stuck in my brain. Wow, what a huge month we’ve got coming up. I feel like I need a glass of champagne before I even start. And I hope you have a wonderful birthday – that cover must have felt like a birthday present. Gorgeous or what?

    • Caren Crane says:

Anna, you know with me EVERYTHING is a party! 😀

How many places do I get to babble on about all the cool stuff we do? Um…nowhere but here and on Facebook. And I much prefer the blog to Facebook. Fewer distractions! And I need NO distractions these days.

Thank you for your nice words about my cover. Isn’t it the cutest thing ever? I had no idea what I wanted on it, but I was so happy to see what the artist came up with. I love it!

    • Caren Crane says:

Oh, and Waterloo was totally for you. All I can think of is Muriel’s Wedding and their ABBA performance at the resort. I can so picture us doing that! And I do mean the two of us. Though some others around here would probably join in…

  • Deb says:

My goodness, May is certainly a merry event at the Lair. Hmmm, hands down, I vote for May 13th as the best event. 😉 Happy Early Birthday, Caren! All of the guests and events will be fantastic! The new mystery series by Hanna Dennison caught my eye; not sure why because I usually don’t read mysteries. The book cover is lovely and perfect and so English.

    • Deb, there’s nothing like an eye-catching cover. I’ve bought several books I might otherwise have passed up because the cover got me to read the blurb, which got me to read the first page or two, and so on.

    • Caren Crane says:

Aw, thank you, Deb! I hope my birthday is nice this year. Most of my friends will be at RT on my birthday, which kind of stinks. Good thing I celebrate all month long! 😀

I got to meet Hannah when she was on a book tour with Kate a while back. She is the nicest person ever! Really a delight and very funny. I bought a couple of her books because she was so danged NICE and she’s a great writer, too! Highly recommend everyone check Hannah’s new series out. Or her old series! 😀

  • Caren, happy birthday!

Great job on the CA post. What with the FB party and the auction in addition to all our guests, it’s a big month.

    • Caren Crane says:

Nancy, your birthday will be here before mine will, so happy birthday to you, too! We both get to have a great month of birthday. And end it at ConCarolinas! I have a feeling this will be a great month all the way around.

Thanks for the CA post compliments. I love to do them AND the newsletter (though it always takes me too long). Yes, we have a LOT of things going on in the Lair. Half the world will be at RT in New Orleans starting on my birthday, but we’ll be here holding down the fort!
