All About Tawny Weber

I love romance. Happily ever after, hot love scenes… all the good things in life.

For a long time, I was content to explore this enticing world through books. Then, wow – I found out it can happen in real life. I met my husband, who showed me that all those wonderful, magical feelings described in the books are real. Hey, what d’ya know, fiction really IS based in reality.

So I decided to pursue the dream of writing a book. Soon the dream became an addiction. I joined RWA in 2002, finaling in the Golden Heart contest three times before selling to Harlequin Blaze in 2006. In 2013 I'll be celebrating my 20th Harlequin Blaze novel in May a MIDNIGHT SPECIAL hits the shelves.

I do have other dreams that I’m happily tending: my own real-life hero husband and our two children. Our Northern California home, an ode to ideas and obsessive redecorating/remodeling. Good thing my hero is handy with a saw. Gardening, scrapbooking, crafting and an incredibly supportive family round things out.

Tawny's Fun Facts

I'm a craftt-o-holic! You name a craft, I've probably tried it. Scrapbooking is my all-time favorite, though. Probably because it combines two of my favorite things, visual creative expression and family. Other than scrapbooks, I collect dragons and unicorns, love the color purple and could happily live on popcorn.

Mmmm, whipped goodness. Not that kind of whip (although…) I mean creamy whipped goodness. For eating. On dessert. The kind one finds at the table. When one’s mother is present. (I felt like I needed to qualify the whipped cream usage, but I could make a naughty image out of each qualification, right up until momma joined in) I love whipped cream. Heroes, Hunks and Hotties

I love romances for so many reasons, but the most obvious is the hero. Nothing brings a book together for me more than the hero does. He’s that fantasy guy that we female readers get to imagine ourselves romancing as we step into the heroine’s shoes. The one we get to live out adventures, romances, excitement with, right? Am I the only one who judges my romances by their heroes? Yes, I empathize and relate to the heroine. But it’s the hero I’m falling in love with as I turn the pages. Personally I’ve got a soft spot for Bad Boys.
