All About Beth Andrews

Romance Writers of America RITA® Award Winner Beth Andrews lives in Northwestern Pennsylvania with her husband and two teenage daughters.

During the course of writing her Diamond Dust trilogy, she purchased copious amounts of wine, purely for research purposes. When not drinking…er…researching she can be found in the passenger seat of her SUV gripping the dashboard, slamming her foot on a nonexistent brake and praying fervently.

Or, in other words, teaching her old daughter how to drive.

She still counts the days until her son returns from college–mainly because he already knows how to drive.

This summer she plans on finally reading The Harry Potter series, (for real this time!) learning how to bend metal into pretty shapes for jewelry and writing the first book of a new trilogy for Harlequin Superromance.

Beth loves to hear from her readers. Please email her at beth@bethandrews.net.

Three’s Company

One of my all-time favorite movies is Sweet Home Alabama. It has some great romance hooks; it’s a reunion story, is set in a small town, has fun and unique secondary characters and plenty of strong internal conflict between the hero and heroine. And, as if those strong conflicts aren’t enough, it also has Andrew (played by Patrick Dempsey *g*) the heroine’s fiancée.   Unfortunately, Melanie (Reece Witherspoon) isn’t meant to be with Andrew but with her never-officially-divorced husband Jake (the adorable Josh Lucas). What makes this such a strong story for me is that Mel is truly conflicted. She

Kitchen Gadgets

I’m not what you’d deem a techno-geek. I have no desire to own the latest, greatest electronic gadgets. I don’t have internet access on my phone, own an iPad or other tablet or an e-reader. We’re due to (finally) get DVR service for our TV tomorrow. But there is one room that I have stocked with fun toys and gadgets. The kitchen! I have a KitchenAid mixer (I love my mixer!) but don’t have all the accessories for it yet. I also have a pasta maker (a crank kind – works great), a food processor, an electronic citrus juicer, a

What’s For Breakfast?

Over the past year or so I’ve come to love breakfast with a passion that is sort of frightening. Every Sunday I spend half of the morning making scones or muffins or omelets or waffles for my family and  I had my mother throw me a birthday brunch instead of birthday dinner party. My husband even took me out for breakfast for Valentine’s Day instead of doing the romantic dinner for two thing *g* To celebrate my adoration for all things breakfast, I thought we’d do a quick Breakfast Q&A! 1. Coffee, tea or juice? 2. Pancakes, waffles or French toast? 3.
